Living Resources

Learning Together. Growing Together.

At Alive and Well, I believe learning is a lifelong journey.

Healthcare is continually evolving, and so is our understanding of prevention, healthy aging, nutrition, exercise, and women's health. My commitment is to remain a lifelong learner—continually reviewing new research, listening to respected experts, attending professional education, and sharing practical, evidence-based information that empowers you to make informed decisions about your health.

This page is a living resource library. As new evidence emerges and trusted educational resources become available, I will continue to update this collection so you have access to reliable, science-based information.

Prevention & Healthy Aging

My Philosophy

Healthy aging begins long before we grow older.

Small, consistent lifestyle choices—made every day—have the power to improve quality of life, reduce the risk of chronic disease, and help us remain active, independent, and resilient throughout life's journey.

Experts I Learn From

  • Dr. Peter Attia – Longevity medicine, prevention, metabolic health, and healthy aging.

  • Dr. Rhonda Patrick – Nutrition, micronutrients, inflammation, and disease prevention.

  • Dr. Andrew Huberman – Neuroscience, sleep, stress, behaviour, and performance.

  • Dr. Stacy Sims – Exercise physiology, women's health, muscle health, and active aging.

Women's Midlife Wellness

Perimenopause and menopause are natural life transitions that deserve accurate, evidence-based education and compassionate support.

I continue to learn from internationally respected physicians, researchers, educators, and authors, including:

  • Dr. Louise Newson

  • Dr. Kelly Casperson

  • Dr. Corinne Menn

  • Dr. Rachel Rubin

  • Dr. Avrum Bluming

  • Dr. Heather Hirsch

  • Dr. Lauren Streicher

  • Dr. Mary Claire Haver

Their work has strengthened my understanding of hormonal health, healthy aging, sexuality, nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle strategies that support women throughout midlife.

Nutrition

My Nutrition Philosophy

I believe healthy eating should be practical, enjoyable, and sustainable.

The Mediterranean-style eating pattern has more than 25 years of strong scientific evidence supporting its benefits for heart health, brain health, metabolic wellness, healthy aging, and the prevention of many chronic diseases.

Rather than promoting restrictive diets, I help individuals build lifelong eating habits that can be personalized to their health goals, cultural traditions, and food preferences.

Trusted Organizations

The following organizations provide high-quality, evidence-based education that supports my ongoing learning:

  • International Menopause Society (IMS)

  • The Menopause Society

  • Balance Menopause

  • Let's Talk Menopause

As my resource library grows, I will continue to add additional organizations that reflect the latest evidence and best practices in prevention and healthy aging.
